Where Patch My PC is the better choice
- You deploy with Configuration Manager or WSUS as well as Intune. PatchBee does not touch either.
- You need to host your own installers (line-of-business apps, licensed software behind a login) in the same tool. PatchBee packages public catalog apps only.
- You want vendor-run onboarding and an unlimited-support contract from day one, and reporting that reaches into device health and compliance.
- You are at a thousand devices or more, where the minimum stops mattering and the per-device prices are within fifty cents of each other.
Where PatchBee is the better choice
- Under 50 devices it is free, with the full catalog and publishing, forever. Between 50 and roughly 1,100 devices the yearly minimum makes Patch My PC cost more per device than its list price suggests.
- macOS is a first-class half of the catalog (1,300+ apps from Homebrew), packaged and updated from the same console and the same rings as Windows.
- CVE and CVSS data, with the exploited flag from CISA KEV, is on every plan, including Free. The CVSS fast-track lets critical fixes skip the auto-approve delay.
- Staged rings with supersedence and a one-click rollback are part of every update, not a reporting feature on a higher tier.
- You can start this afternoon: sign in with a Microsoft account, no quote, no card, no call.
What is the same
Both tools do the core job: pick an app, get a working Intune package with install commands and detection rules, and have updates published as vendors release them. Both work through Microsoft Graph with permissions your administrator consents to, and both leave Intune as the delivery mechanism. Neither needs an agent on the endpoints.
