Setting up notifications
Get alerted when packaging jobs finish or updates appear, without watching the app. Notifications are a Pro feature.
Add a channel
- Go to Settings → Notifications.
- Add a channel: Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Discord (paste the channel's webhook URL), or Email (enter the address).
- Choose which events it should fire on, for example a job failing or completing, or a new update being found.
- Use Send test to confirm it works; this works even while the channel is disabled.
Example: failures to the on-call channel, updates to email
Create two channels: a Teams webhook for your #intune-alerts channel subscribed only to job failures, so on-call sees problems the moment they happen, and an email channel subscribed to new-update-found, so the weekly patch review starts from your inbox instead of from opening the app. Loud things go where people are; slow things go where they queue nicely.
Good to know
- Webhook URLs and email addresses are treated as secrets: they are encrypted and only ever shown masked.
- You can have several channels for different teams or event types.
