Troubleshooting and FAQ

The questions we hear most, with the fixes that actually work.

Sign-in and connections

Connecting my tenant fails with "declined or expired"

Your organisation's security policy likely requires a compliant or managed device to grant admin consent. Try again from a managed device, or use the Manual connection method. See the connecting guide.

Can I connect more than one Intune tenant?

Yes, add as many as you need under Settings → Intune connections, and pick one when you publish.

Packaging and publishing

A packaging job failed. What now?

Open Jobs, select the job, and read the step logs to see where it stopped. Use Retry; it resumes at the failed step.

Where did my app go after publishing?

It is under Deployed Apps, showing its current vs latest version.

"Package and deploy" says publishing is paused

You are on Free and past the 50-device allowance, so PatchBee has paused publishing to Intune. Packaging still works, everything you already published stays exactly where it is in Intune and carries on running, and nothing has been deleted. Select Upgrade on the notice to move to Pro, and publishing resumes.

My app published without an assignment

Assignments are optional: if you did not add one, PatchBee publishes the app unassigned. Open Deployed Apps and select Assignments on the app's row to add groups in place; the change applies directly in Intune with no re-publish.

Updates

How do I stop approving every update by hand?

Turn on auto-approve and set up rollout rings; see the automating updates guide.

Access

A full-page message says the workspace is switched off

PatchBee has paused access to your workspace, so nobody there can use the app for the moment. Nothing has been deleted: your apps, packaging history and settings are all still there, and everything comes back exactly as you left it once the workspace is switched back on. Apps you already deployed keep working in Intune throughout. Get in touch using the address on that page and we will sort it out.

Still stuck?

Use the Help button in the app (see Getting help). Include the app name and version, the Intune tenant, and, for a failed job, the job's step logs.
